Kris McIntire

Kris McIntire currently serves as a National Bank Board Member at SoFi since January 2022. Prior to this role, Kris was a Partner at Promontory Financial Group, an IBM Company, from January 2021 to November 2023, where involvement in the Risk & Compliance Practice focused on regulatory, risk, and compliance challenges, particularly in corporate governance and management oversight. Kris's extensive experience includes a distinguished career at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency from March 1987 to May 2019, serving as a National Bank Examiner and holding key positions such as Deputy Comptroller for Large Bank Supervision and Examiner-in-Charge at major financial institutions. Kris was also actively involved in interagency coordination with the FDIC and Federal Reserve and contributed to international efforts as a member of the Basel Committee on Bank Supervision’s Cross Border Crisis Management Group. Kris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Iowa.
