Michael McElvaney

Michael McElvaney has a diverse work experience in various companies. Michael is currently working as a Strategic Finance Director (Data & Analytics) at SoFi since March 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager Business Operations (Data & Analytics) at WeWork from June 2019 to March 2021. At WeWork, they were responsible for creating a data and reporting infrastructure, defining tools and dashboard roadmap, and driving a reporting strategy.

Before WeWork, Michael worked at Twitter from April 2013 to March 2019. Michael held various roles, including Senior Sales Finance Manager, Sales Finance Manager, and Senior Financial Analyst. In these roles, they oversaw revenue reporting, worked with C-Level executives on KPIs and reporting, managed sales commissions process, ensured one-source-of-truth for revenue reporting, and aligned cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Engineering, IT, and Finance.

Michael also has experience working at Microsoft from September 2009 to April 2013. Michael served as a Program Manager and Operations Specialist. In these roles, they were responsible for reporting and analysis, project management, vendor management, creating ops models and processes, managing cash policies and processing, and managing relationships with Microsoft Consulting Services.

Finally, Michael started their career as a Structural Engineer at DBFL Consulting Engineers Ltd. in 2007 and worked as an Undergraduate Engineer at Barrett Mahony Consulting Engineers in 2006.

Michael McElvaney has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Degree (BE) from University College Dublin, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. Michael also attended the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School from 2008 to 2009, where they pursued a Master of Business Studies (MBS) in Project Management.
