Peter Tormey

Peter Tormey has extensive experience in data operations, infrastructure management, and database administration across various organizations. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Carroll College since January 2023, Peter Tormey also holds dual roles at SoFi as Manager of DataOps and Manager of DevOps/Database Infrastructure, where responsibilities include managing a high-availability Postgres infrastructure. Previous positions include DevOps Engineer, Meditech SQL Server DBA at St. Peter's Hospital, and DBA and Senior Data Analyst at New West Health Services, among others. Peter Tormey's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration specializing in Management Information Systems from the University of West Florida, completed in 2008.
