Pragya Kumar

Pragya Kumar is a Staff Data Scientist at SoFi since September 2021, contributing to projects such as Lantern and Protect. Previously, Pragya held the position of Senior Data Scientist at SoFi, focusing on Lantern, Protect, At Work, Spend Better(Travel), and Strategic Partnerships. Pragya's experience includes working as a Data Scientist at a stealth startup from June 2018 to September 2021, developing machine learning solutions for post-harvest grain management. Prior to this, Pragya worked in Data Science & Analytics at Nimble Pharmacy and completed a data science capstone at UCSF Medical Center, where significant predictive modeling was achieved. Earlier experience includes roles at Fluor Corporation as an Engineering Consultant on the Reliance Industries Jamnagar Project and as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. Pragya holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women.
