Richard Johns

Richard Johns is a seasoned executive in capital markets and finance, currently serving as Head of Capital Markets at SoFi since May 2024. Previously, Richard held the position of Chief of Funding at Mosaic from July 2021 to May 2024, and founded NOVA Capital Advisors LLC, where Richard served as CEO from July 2018 to July 2021, providing comprehensive advisory services in structured finance. As Executive Director & CEO of the Structured Finance Association from 2013 to 2018, Richard played a crucial role in rebuilding the organization after the collapse of the American Securitization Forum. Before that, Richard held prominent roles at Ally Financial Inc. as Global Funding & Liquidity Executive, and at Capital One Financial as Head of Global Capital Markets, where savings of over $700 million were achieved. Richard began the career in corporate finance at MBNA from 1995 to 2004. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Manchester.
