Ryan Walls

Ryan Walls is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Cloud Infrastructure at SoFi since April 2024. Previously, Ryan held various roles including Senior Staff Engineer and Senior Engineering Manager at Square, and Vice President of Technology at POWDR, focusing on innovative technologies for the outdoor adventure industry. Ryan's background includes a Senior Manager position at ANSYS, Inc., where a SaaS platform was launched, and a Director of Software Engineering role at 3DSIM prior to its acquisition by ANSYS. Ryan founded Docker Salt Lake City to foster discussion on container technologies and has held engineering management roles at Backcountry.com and Excella Consulting, as well as a software engineering position at Northrop Grumman. Ryan began a career in education, teaching math and science before transitioning to technology. Ryan holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Biostatistics from Southwestern Adventist University.
