Simon Zhu

Simon Zhu is an experienced professional in risk management and fraud strategy, currently serving in Account Security and Fraud Strategy at SoFi since February 2024. Prior to this, Simon held the position of Head of Fraud Risk Management at Okcoin, where responsibilities included overseeing fraud risk strategy, policy, and investigations. Simon's extensive background includes roles at Bill.com as Head of Risk Operation Excellence, and various leadership positions at PayPal, including Sr. Director of Global Fraud & Protection Services, where Simon managed a large team to optimize disputes and chargeback services for over 300 million customers. Additionally, Simon led trust and safety efforts at Google for the APAC region. Simon holds a Master of Mathematical Finance from Columbia University, a Master of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Shandong University.
