Terry Tong

Terry Tong is a highly experienced engineering leader specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as the Director of Engineering for AI Experience at SoFi since October 2025. Previously, Terry held several key roles at Salesforce, including Senior Director of Engineering, where the focus was on building Autonomous Security Platforms and AI Agents. Earlier positions included Director of Engineering and Principal Member of Technical Staff, emphasizing scalable security solutions. At Futurewei Technologies, Inc., Terry worked as a Machine Learning Architect, designing platforms for AIOps. From 2003 to 2017, Terry contributed to IBM as Senior Manager and ML Architect, leading teams for machine learning initiatives within Watson research and managing cross-disciplinary engineering operations. Terry's academic background includes an MS and BS in Computer Science from Zhejiang University.
