Usman Maher

Usman Maher is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment management. Currently serving as Senior Director at SoFi since April 2022, Maher previously held positions as Vice President and Private Equity/Investment Professional at Waterfall Asset Management and Parallax Capital Partners from January to December 2021. Between 2016 and 2020, Maher worked as Vice President at Lone Star Funds, specializing in private equity and special situations. Prior roles include Senior Associate at Colony Capital, Inc., Associate at Morgan Stanley, and various positions at The Midway Group, L.P., where responsibilities included underwriting whole loans and mortgage-backed securities. Maher began a career in finance as a Summer Analyst at Merrill Lynch in 2006. Maher holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, along with education from the University of Maryland and Queens College.
