Yi Sun is currently the Director of Model Risk Management at SoFi, bringing extensive experience in model development and validation across various consumer and commercial banking models. With over 10 years of model validation expertise, they have managed and coached a team of analysts while ensuring adherence to regulatory expectations. Yi’s past roles include positions at the International Monetary Fund, HSBC, and PNC, where they contributed significantly to model validation and portfolio management efforts. They hold a Ph.D. in International Finance from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and possess advanced knowledge in econometrics and machine learning methodologies.
