Mika Kanerva

Mika Kanerva has extensive experience in both the private and academic sectors. Mika co-founded Sofia Digital in 2000 and served as the CTO and Co-Founder until November 2009. After that, they took on the role of COO and Co-Founder, with no specified end date. Before their time at Sofia Digital, Mika worked at the University of Tampere, starting as a Research Assistant in June 1997 and later becoming a Research Scientist from September 1998 to April 2001.

Mika Kanerva completed their education at the University of Tampere from 1996 to 2008, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree. Their field of study focused on HCI SW development, User Interfaces, and multimedia. Prior to this, from 1992 to 1994, Mika attended Kangasala, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
