Marc Poot is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across Asia. Currently serving as General Manager for Sofico since January 2020, Marc oversees operations and business development in Japan, while also managing commercial responsibilities for Korea and Thailand. Prior to this, Marc held multiple leadership positions at Barco from 1998 to 2018, including Managing Director for both Japan and Taiwan, where overall P&L responsibilities were managed, and strategic direction for the APAC region was established. Additionally, Marc contributed to the healthcare sector in the APAC region as Sales Director. Early career experience includes various managerial roles at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, focusing on purchasing, marketing, and training in China. Recent educational pursuits include completing courses in Japanese sake making.
