Martine Van de Velde has extensive work experience spanning various industries. Martine started their career as a Financial Analyst at Bekaert Textiles in 1988 before moving on to WR Grace General Business Group in 1990, where they worked as a Financial Analyst II. During their time at WR Grace, Martine was responsible for financial and variance analysis at the corporate level and supported special projects. Martine also organized the annual budgeting cycle for the division.
In 1994, Martine joined Grace Cocoa (W R Grace division) as a Financial Analyst Business Development, where they played a crucial role in analyzing and supporting business development initiatives. Martine then transitioned to ADM Cocoa in 1997, working on special projects and providing general support.
Martine's skills and experience led their to freelance consulting roles in various companies from 1997 to 1998, where they provided expertise and support in financial matters.
In 1999, Martine joined Fort James as a Junior Product Manager, responsible for the straw business line in the Food Service Division. Martine also supported other product lines during their time at the company.
From 2000 to 2001, Martine worked as a freelance consultant, implementing accounting software in a small consultancy firm and preparing for their return to Belgium.
Martine's most recent position is at Sofico, where they started working in 2001. Martine initially served as a Senior Business Consultant and later became the Practice Leader in Consulting. As the Learning Lead at Sofico, Martine uses their expertise to lead and support learning initiatives in the company.
Martine Van de Velde earned a Master's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Ghent University between 1983 and 1987.
