Anja Langenbucher has extensive experience in public policy and finance, having held key positions at prominent organizations. Langenbucher served at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation from October 2010 to June 2012 as part of the European Government Relations and Public Policy team, later returning from September 2014 to July 2018 as Director for Europe, overseeing government relations and innovative finance mechanisms for the EU. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Banker for Agribusiness at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development from September 2006 to July 2010, and as an Economist for Agribusiness at the World Bank Group from September 2003 to July 2006. Currently, Langenbucher holds positions as a Non-Executive Board Member at Henkel since April 2024 and as a Board Member at Sofina, where Langenbucher chairs the ESG committee. Langenbucher is an alumnus of Heidelberg University.
