Koen Bauwens

Koen Bauwens has a diverse work experience, starting in 2015 as a Delegate for the European Law Students' Association. In 2015, they also worked as a Summer Intern at Law Square. Koen then became an Intern at NautaDutilh in 2015 before joining the firm as a Junior Associate in 2016. During their time at NautaDutilh, Koen had a secondment in 2017. In 2019, they joined Sofina as an Associate Legal Counsel and later took on the role of Legal Counsel. In 2022, they had a secondment in Singapore at Sofina. Koen also has experience as a Teaching Assistant at KU Leuven's Jan Ronse Instituut, which they started in 2019.

Koen Bauwens has a solid education history in the field of law. Koen obtained their Bachelor's degree in Law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2011, followed by their Master's degree in Law from the same institution in 2016. During their Master's studies, they also had the opportunity to study Comparative Corporate & Financial Law at the University of Leeds, where they earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in 2016. In 2014, Koen pursued an Erasmus WiSe program at the University of Bremen, focusing on Law.

In terms of further specialization, Koen completed Postgraduate Studies in Corporate Finance at KU Leuven from 2017 to 2018, enhancing their knowledge and skills in this area.

Additionally, Koen holds two certifications. Koen obtained a TOEFL IBT score of 115 out of 120 in June 2015, demonstrating their proficiency in English. In 2008, they also acquired the Goethe-Zertifikat C1 from the Goethe-Institut, showcasing their fluency in German.
