Sofos Power is a U.S. energy infrastructure developer. Today, we focus on utility-scale, standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS). As the grid evolves, we will pursue additional technologies where they provide the right answer to a demonstrated infrastructure need.

We specialize in early- and mid-stage development. We advance projects from an initial point on the map through site selection, land control, interconnection, and permitting, then transition them to established owners and operators for construction and long-term operation.

Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Sofos Power is backed by a U.S. investment fund managing more than $400 million. Our team brings two decades of development experience across more than ten countries, now concentrated on the evolving needs of the U.S. grid.
