Ricardo Castillo is an accomplished academic and agricultural solutions architect with extensive experience in the agroindustrial sector. Serving as a Professor Titular at UCLA since January 2016 and as an Agricultural Solutions Architect at Sofos since February 2019, Ricardo specializes in designing and modeling business processes in agriculture using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) to optimize industry functions related to SAP. Additionally, Ricardo has contributed as a web creator for universidadagricola.com, a consultant for the FAO focusing on early warning systems in agriculture, and the creator of Evolution at AgroEvolution Technology. Previous roles include Director of Operations at the Fundación Nacional para el Desarrollo de la Biotecnología and a team member for the PNUD analyzing the impact of climate change on agriculture in Venezuela. Ricardo holds degrees in Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences from Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado and Universidad Central de Venezuela, respectively, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Rural Development, with a focus on Agricultural Economics.
