Jamison Abbott has worked as a software engineer since 2010. In 2016, they joined Courtagen Life Sciences, Inc. as a Software Developer, working on next-generation genetic sequencing for patients with neurological disorders. In 2017, they moved to Desktop Metal as a Frontend Developer, where they contributed to their original product, the Studio System, and later to their flagship product, the Production System. In 2020, they joined Nuance Communications as a Principal Software Engineer, working on a rules-based medical documentation and compliance system with AI-based speech-to-text support. Jamison also joined Soft Robotics Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer, where they created new features for the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to monitor and control robot work cells.

Jamison Abbott holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer at Work and a BA in Sound Design from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Jamison is also a HFI Certified Usability Analyst (CUA).
