Munish Varma is the managing partner for EMEA & Asia at Softbank Group. Munish has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry.

Munish started their career at Deutsche Bank in 1997 as an FX trader. Munish was quickly promoted to managing director and given responsibility for structured credit and principal finance. Munish also became the head of global markets for India.

In 2011, they left Deutsche Bank to join Nomura as managing director. At Nomura, they were head of global special situations and structured credit.

In 2014, they returned to Deutsche Bank as managing director, this time responsible for UK lending and deposits as well as structured solutions globally within private wealth management.

Munish joined Softbank Group in 2017 as managing partner for EMEA & Asia.

Munish Varma has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Cornell University and an Engineer’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. Munish also attended the Modern School.

Munish Varma works with Junichi Miyakawa - CEO, Softbank Corp, Alex Clavel - CEO, Softbank Group International, and Tim Mackey - Corporate Officer, CLO & GCO. Munish Varma reports to Masayoshi Son, Chairman & CEO.
