Leandro Okimoto

Leandro Okimoto is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with over five years of R&D experience in AI, focusing on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Currently employed at Softbinator Technologies since 2025, Leandro previously led AI projects at Hub - Tecnologia e Inovação, contributing to six R&D projects across NLP, Computer Vision, and Data Science. Leandro holds a Ph.D. in Informatics, with a focus on Data Science and Machine Learning, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Universidade Federal do Amazonas. During a research internship at New York University, Leandro developed analytical methods for AI research related to breast cancer characterization.
