Carvel Blakeney

Carvel Blakeney has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles.

Starting in 1996, Carvel worked as a Programmer Analyst and Business Analyst for SCT until 2004.

From 2004 to 2005, Carvel served as a Business Analyst and Project Manager for Axiom/Synergy/SPL Worldgroup, where they played a role in the redesign and implementation of a CIS Billing system for municipalities and utility companies.

In 2005, Carvel joined Softdocs as a Development Manager, responsible for managing 5 products and 10 developers. Carvel focused on maintaining scheduled releases, addressing defects, and fulfilling Requests for Enhancements until 2011.

From 2011 to 2017, Carvel served as the Implementation Services Manager for Higher Education at Softdocs. Carvel oversaw business analysts involved in new and existing customer product implementations, conducted regular project status calls, and ensured effective project management.

Following this role, Carvel became the Manager of Consulting Services at Softdocs between 2017 and 2020. Carvel led a team of consultants who collaborated with clients in the education marketplace to improve business processes using the Softdocs Suite of products.

From 2020 to 2021, Carvel took on the role of Team Lead, Services Delivery at Softdocs. In this position, they trained and reviewed consultants to maintain customer satisfaction, assisted project managers during peak periods, and collaborated with solutions architects on various internal initiatives.

Finally, Carvel transitioned to their current role as a Client Success Manager at Softdocs in 2021. In this position, they closely work with clients to ensure their success by helping them leverage computer technology to automate and enhance business processes. Carvel finds satisfaction in seeing the positive outcome of successful planning and implementation efforts.

Carvel Blakeney obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics with a focus on Computer Science from The Citadel between 1981 and 1985. In terms of additional certifications, Carvel Blakeney received a Doing Discovery Practitioner certification from Great Demo! in January 2023.
