John Withrow is a seasoned Quantitative Ecologist with extensive experience in developing and managing databases related to ecological interactions. At SofTec Solutions since September 2008, Withrow has created a comprehensive database of geographic range information for over 1,000 tree species and more than 5,000 tree pest species, facilitating the creation of updated range maps. Previously, Withrow worked at ITX and Kroll Factual Data, where responsibilities included providing technical support and quality assurance, as well as developing a tracking database for technical support calls. With a Ph.D. in Ecology from Colorado State University and a B.A. in Physics, Geography, and Mathematics from Carroll University, Withrow combines a strong academic foundation with practical experience in ecological research and database management.
