Dr. Yelena Yesha

Dr. Yelena Yesha is an accomplished academic and leader in data science and computer science, currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Advisors at Softhread and Chief Innovation Officer at the University of Miami Institute for Data Science & Computing. Holding the prestigious First Knight Foundation Chair of Data Science and AI and serving as a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Miami, Dr. Yesha also directs the National Science Foundation Center for Accelerated Real Time Analytics and previously directed the NSF Center for Hybrid Multicore Productivity Research and the UMBC Site of NSF Center. Dr. Yesha's academic career at the University of Maryland Baltimore County spans over three decades, alongside past leadership at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Dr. Yesha holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from York University.
