Matthew Avis

Matthew Avis is an experienced software engineer with a strong focus on iOS development. Currently serving as Lead iOS Engineer at Softpay since March 2024, Matthew previously held positions at Medable, Inc. as Staff Engineer and Senior iOS Engineer from February 2022 to March 2024, and as Senior iOS Engineer at Omhu from July 2018 to February 2022. Matthew's expertise encompasses iOS architecture design, continuous integration, and technical mentorship, alongside significant contributions to flagship applications and internal libraries. Prior roles include Full Stack Developer at LEO Innovation Lab and Senior iOS Developer at Monk Digital, with a foundational background in web development and database coordination. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Memorial University, completed in 2012.
