Vlad Garbuz

Vlad Garbuz has extensive work experience in the cybersecurity industry. Vlad began their career as a Software Engineer at Forestro LLC in 2009 and later worked as a Deputy Director at CRYO INTER TRADING LLC from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they joined HP as a Senior Application Security Engineer, where they worked until 2015. In the same year, they became the CEO of SoftSeq, a Boutique Cybersecurity Consulting company that specializes in Strategy, Risk Management, Software Security, and Auditing. Vlad held this position until 2021. In 2015, Vlad also worked as a Software Security and Risk Manager at EIS Group Ltd. In 2019, they joined SEC Consult Group as a Principal Security Consultant, where they headed corporate expansion into Manila, Philippines, and provided advice on Application Security to Singapore's financial services industry. Currently, Vlad serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at BetterMe: Health & Fitness since September 2021. Additionally, they have been actively involved with the OWASP Foundation as the OWASP Odessa Chapter Leader since 2011.

Vlad Garbuz completed their Executive MBA degree in Business Administration and Management from NUS Business School in 2022. Prior to that, they attended Donetsk National Technical University from 2008 to 2015, where they obtained a degree in Software Engineering with a focus on Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.

In terms of certifications, Vlad obtained the Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification from ISACA in April 2021. Vlad also achieved the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification from (ISC)² in March 2021. Additionally, they have additional certifications such as CREST Registered Penetration Tester (CRT) from CREST - www.crest-approved.org and Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) from Offensive Security, though the exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not mentioned.
