Gavin Henry

Software Heritage Ambassador at Software Heritage

Gavin Henry is an experienced technology professional and entrepreneur, serving as the Founder of Ant Networks Limited since November 2024. As a Software Heritage Ambassador, Gavin contributes to the development of a universal software source code archive, facilitating applications across various sectors. In addition, Gavin founded the SentryPeer open source project, which maintains a distributed list of bad actor IP addresses and phone numbers. Since January 2019, Gavin has hosted the Software Engineering Radio podcast, aimed at educating professional software developers. As an OSF member since June 2013, Gavin supports the OpenSIPS project, while also leading documentation efforts for the OpenLDAP Project since May 2007. In volunteer leadership, Gavin serves on the Board of Trustees for the Station House Media Unit, a charity enhancing community media development in Scotland. Previously, Gavin was the Chief Information Officer at TelcoSwitch and Managing Director at SureVoIP, providing business-grade telecom solutions. Gavin holds a BEng(Hons) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Robert Gordon University and continues education at The University of Manchester.
