Software Heritage
Roberto Di Cosmo is an esteemed academic and leader in the field of computer science, currently serving as the Chair of the Software Chapter of the National Committee for Open Science at the Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche since February 2022. As Director of Software Heritage since March 2015, Roberto has been pivotal in building a comprehensive archive for software source code, emphasizing its importance for cultural heritage and research. Additionally, Roberto has held the position of Director at Inria since October 2009, fostering initiatives aimed at the preservation and sharing of publicly available software. Throughout a significant career at Université Paris Diderot, Roberto has held various academic roles, including Full Professor and coordinator of major research projects such as Mancoosi, contributing to over 40 international publications. Educational achievements include a Habilitation from Université Paris Cité and degrees in Computer Science from Ecole normale supérieure and Università di Pisa.
