Marcel Starink has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Marcel started their career at Ricoh Nederland as a Senior Account Manager, where they began as new business sales and eventually grew into a senior sales role. Marcel then joined PTC as a Senior Account Executive and later became the Sales Director Benelux, responsible for Product Development and Product Lifecycle Management Software.

After their time at PTC, Starink joined Nasdaq, where they held multiple roles, including Vice President of Emerging Markets, Vice President of Europe North and Emerging Markets, and Vice President of EMEA BWise (GRC). In these positions, they were in charge of hiring, developing sales teams, and spearheaded the exponential growth of BWise GRC, significantly increasing revenues.

More recently, Starink served as the Chief Commercial Officer at 5W Data Solutions, a startup funded by private equity, responsible for the company's profit and loss. Marcel successfully sold the company to PQR in 2019.

Currently, Starink is working at Software Improvement Group (SIG) as the Vice President of Business Development. In this role, they are focused on expanding SIG's global authority for Software Quality and Security within various industries and regions. Marcel is responsible for SIG's international expansion strategy and the development of pre-sales and sales teams in different countries.

Marcel Starink began their education in 1990 at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN), where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics. Marcel successfully completed their studies in 1993 before continuing their educational journey. In 2003, Marcel enrolled in Business School Nederland to pursue an Executive MBA degree in Management. Marcel dedicated three years to this program and completed it in 2006.
