Michele Mosca has over 20 years of work experience. Michele started their career as a Professor in the Department of Combinatorics & Optimization at the University of Waterloo in 1999. In 2001, they became a Founding Member and Associate Faculty at the Perimeter Institute. In 2002, they Co-Founded and became a Professor at the Institute for Quantum Computing, where they also held the role of Deputy Director. In 2017, they Co-Founded softwareQ Inc. and, most recently, they have been the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of evolutionQ since 2015.
Michele Mosca received their B.Math. from the University of Waterloo in 1995, majoring in Pure Mathematics and Combinatorics & Optimization. Michele then attended the University of Oxford, where they obtained an MSc in Mathematics and the Foundations of Computer Science in 1996, and a D.Phil. in Mathematics, Quantum Computer Algorithms in 1999.
