Laura Hughes

Laura Hughes is a Technical Principal at Softwire, with a career spanning from 2014 to the present, where roles have included Senior Technical Lead, Technical Lead, and Software Developer. Previously, Laura served as a Research Assistant in the Theoretical Physics Group at Imperial College London from October 2010 to July 2014, in addition to being a PhD student in Cosmology. Research during the PhD involved large-scale lattice simulations and analytical studies on gravitational wave production related to loop quantum gravity. Laura has also engaged in science communication through presentations at various national and international conferences. Laura holds a Master of Science (MSci) in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London, completed in 2010.
