Kyle Watson

Kyle Watson is currently the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at SoftWriters, a role initiated in 2025. Previously, Kyle served as a Lead Financial Analyst at Vanguard from 2019 to 2022, where they created an automated budget variance reporting tool and developed financial models for significant business initiatives. Kyle also held positions in finance management and was part of an MBA Development Program at Vanguard. Earlier in their career, they served as a United States Merchant Marine Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard Civilians from 2007 to 2015, accumulating 1,600 days of experience navigating waterways and engaging in educational voyages. Kyle holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in Philosophy from California State University-Long Beach.
