Shimon Eckhouse has a rich and extensive work experience in the field of medical and technological innovation. Shimon co-founded and served as the Chairman of the Board for several notable companies, including Epitomee Medical, Theranica Bio-Electronics Ltd., Rapid Medical, and Sofwave. Additionally, they founded, owned, and served as the Chairman of Alon MedTech Ventures, an incubator program investing in healthcare technology start-ups. Shimon also co-founded and was the Chairman of Tulip Ltd., Rapid Medical Ltd., and Opticul Diagnostic Ltd. within the Medical Devices Companies. Shimon Eckhouse played a pivotal role as the co-founder and Chairman of Syneron-Candela Ltd., a global leader in aesthetic medical devices. Shimon was also the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of ESC Medical Systems, now known as Lumenis, where they pioneered the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology in medical and aesthetic lasers. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, they were involved in research and development at Maxwell Technologies and Rafael, Armament Development Authority of Israel.

Shimon Eckhouse completed their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1963 to 1967. Shimon went on to pursue a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics at UC Irvine from 1975 to 1978.
