Tom Viner

Tom Viner has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tom currently works at Sohonet as a Principal Software Engineer, a role they have held since May 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at the same company from April 2018 to May 2021. Before joining Sohonet, Tom worked as a Senior Developer (contractor) at various companies from October 2017 to March 2018.

In 2017, Tom took a break from their career to travel the world, visiting countries such as Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and several countries in South America.

Before their break, Tom worked as a Team Lead/Senior Developer at Hogarth Worldwide from August 2013 to February 2017. Tom also held the position of Senior Developer at U-Dox International Creative Agency from March 2011 to August 2013.

Tom's career began in 2005 when they worked as a Web Developer at Mediaflo, Flo Print, Owen Newman Publications, and Floss Agency Ltd. Tom also served as a Technical Advisor at Newman Group Ltd.

Tom Viner attended the University of Warwick from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a BSc in Mathematics with Computing. Tom also obtained certifications in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in 2013.
