Nick Cairns

Nick Cairns currently serves as Chief Engineer at SMD, a position held since July 2015, and previously held the title of Principal Engineer Subsea within the same company. Before joining SMD, Nick Cairns worked at Soil Machine Dynamics Ltd from February 2011 to July 2015 as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer. Nick Cairns began a career at Komatsu, where employment spanned from 1995 to 2009 as a Design Engineer. Nick Cairns holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from Northumbria University, completed between 2001 and 2005.
