Karen Bascom

Karen Bascom is a communications analyst with extensive experience in providing support to the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) at SOL Engineering Services, LLC, and UICGS/Bowhead Family of Companies. Prior roles include serving as a health science research editor-writer at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where responsibilities encompassed writing news releases, coordinating communications for biomedical research, and editing an annual magazine. Additional experience includes a teaching assistantship at Louisiana State University, a contract research assistant position at Bristol Bay Native Corporation, and internships in research and technical roles. Karen Bascom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Geography from Colgate University and has pursued graduate studies in Biology at Louisiana State University.
