Ryan Hool

Principal Mocvd Engineer, R&d at SolAero Technologies

Ryan Hool has worked as a Principal MOCVD Engineer, R&D at SolAero by Rocket Lab since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2016 to 2022, where they led a project to improve epitaxial III-V on Si tandem solar cells. Ryan also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from 2014 to 2016 and as a Laboratory Technician at Star Of The West Milling Co from 2012 to 2013.

Ryan Hool's education history begins in 2008 when they attended Frankenmuth High School. After graduating from high school in 2012, they went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2016. Following the completion of their undergraduate degree, Ryan continued their studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2016 to 2022, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science & Engineering.
