Robert Patrick has extensive experience in the energy industry. Robert currently serves as the Vice President, Head of Development, Engineering & Construction at NRG Energy, where they are responsible for managing a multi-billion dollar project portfolio. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President, Engineering and Project Services at NRG Energy, overseeing engineering, planning, and project controls for the company's construction business.
Before joining NRG Energy, Robert worked at GenOn Energy as the Vice President of Plant Services and Major Projects. At Mirant, they served as the Program Director of Construction, managing the engineering and construction of Air Quality Control Systems. This program was recognized as one of the largest of its kind in the US.
Earlier in their career, Robert held the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, where they played a significant role in restructuring and transitioning the state-owned utility to a privately held business. Robert also managed the utility's generation operation, as well as its engineering and construction portfolios.
Robert Patrick completed their Executive MBA in Operations Management and Finance from The University of the West Indies, Mona, from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, during the years 1986 to 1990. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Leadership from the Center for Creative Leadership.
