Matthew Gough

Matthew Gough has held a variety of roles in the public service sector since 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they served as a Campus Tour Guide and Writing Tutor at UC Santa Cruz. In 2013, they became a CALPIRG Campus Organizer and INPIRG Campus Organizer at PIRG Campus Action, where they managed and trained interns, organized petition drives, and generated earned media. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as an Assistant Canvass Director at Fund for the Public Interest, where they built and maintained relationships with city government employees, managed payroll, and raised funds. Matthew then moved to Sierra Club in 2017, where they served as a Senior Campaign Representative - Building Electrification, Associate Advancement Director - West, and Executive Coordinator. In 2022, they were hired as a Customer Success Manager at SOLARCYCLE, Inc. and Special Initiatives Operations at BlocPower.

Matthew Gough attended Monrovia High School from 2006 to 2009 and then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2009 to 2013.
