Jay Carlis currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Business Development at SolaREIT™, a position held since November 2025, focusing on helping solar and storage developers maximize the value of land holdings. Previously, Jay held the role of VP of Origination at Pine Gate Renewables, delivering power and REC contracts across multiple U.S. regions. Prior experience includes Senior Director of Origination at The AES Corporation, where project de-risking and commercial solutions were key responsibilities, and leading sales and development efforts at Community Energy, Inc. as Executive Vice President of Origination. Jay has also held leadership roles in marketing and communications at various organizations and served as President of the Renewable Energy Markets Association from 2010 to 2011. Educational credentials include an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BA in Sociology from Haverford College.
