Matt Hankey has a diverse background in investment banking, renewable energy, and leadership development. Beginning a career at M&T Investment Banking Group as a Senior Analyst, Matt transitioned to various leadership roles, including Director of Business Development at Standard Solar, Inc. and Senior Vice President at Urban Grid. Matt co-founded New Energy Equity, serving as Chief Operating Officer and later as President & CEO, focusing on financing and developing community solar projects. Currently, Matt is the Emerging Technologies Officer at ALLETE, and also serves in leadership positions with YPO and the Lift As We Climb Foundation, contributing to community and educational initiatives in renewable energy. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
