James Freis

James Freis is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in regulatory compliance, governance, and finance. Currently serving as an Independent Member of the Supervisory Board and Chair of the Risk, Audit and Credit Committee at Solaris SE, Freis also founded Market Integrity Solutions LLC and co-founded CRINDATA LLC. Previous roles include lead independent director at Ora and CEO of Wirecard. Freis held a managing director position at Deutsche Börse Group and served as Counsel at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, providing advisory services on regulatory issues. As Director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), Freis was the longest-serving director in the agency's history.
