Mark Schmitz

Mark Schmitz is a seasoned professional in the investment and technology sectors, currently serving as CEO and Managing Partner at equation since November 2020, where the focus is on creating superior investment products through advanced research and data science. As a Limited Partner at Lakestar since January 2013, Mark has played a pivotal role in supporting digital technology entrepreneurs globally, with previous positions as Partner and Managing Director of Lakestar Advisors Germany GmbH and as General Counsel. Mark's investment experience spans several technology companies, including solarisBank AG, McMakler, CrossLend GmbH, Omio, and Limehome GmbH, and Mark served in various board roles, demonstrating expertise in venture capital and financial advisory.
