Solas Energy Consulting Inc. is a strategy-led energy transition consultancy advising on the development of complex, high-impact energy and climate-resilient infrastructure across Canada and the United States.

We work at the intersection of energy markets, regulation, engineering, and community interests, supporting clients where projects are technically sophisticated, jurisdictionally complex, or strategically sensitive. Our role is to help decision-makers understand what to build, where to build it, under what rules, and with what risks—and to do so with clarity and confidence.

Solas Energy advises renewable energy developers, Indigenous Nations, utilities, governments, and investors on the strategic, regulatory, technical, and commercial dimensions of clean energy and decarbonization initiatives. Our experience spans utility-scale and community-based projects, including wind, solar, run-of-river hydro, energy storage (BESS), hydrogen and clean fuels, electric vehicle infrastructure, and integrated energy systems.

We are particularly recognized for our depth in regulatory and jurisdictional strategy, market and revenue modelling, Indigenous-led project governance, and climate adaptation and resilience planning. Our work often supports projects navigating evolving market rules, overlapping authorities, policy uncertainty, and long-term sustainability objectives.

Founded in 2009, Solas Energy brings senior-level judgment, rigorous analysis, and practical delivery experience to projects shaping the future of the energy system.
