Diego Vargas

Diego Vargas has worked in the IT field for over 20 years. Diego began their career in 2000 as a Systems Administrator at Andrx Corporation, where they managed and maintained over 50 servers and administered CyberGuard and Netscreen firewalls. In 2001, they joined Terremark Worldwide as a Sr. Security Engineer, Secure Information Systems Engineer, and Senior Network Engineer. Later that year, they also worked as a Sr. Network Engineer at Dedigate/Terremark. In 2007, they moved to Terremark NAP of the Americas as a Security Engineer. In 2017, they joined IBM as a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer, and in 2019 they began working at Cyxtera Technologies as a Sr. Security Engineer. Most recently, in 2022, they joined SolCyber as a Senior Onboarding and Operations Engineer.

Diego Vargas completed their Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification at CEH from 2000 to 2011. Diego then studied at SANS from 2006 to 2010 and obtained a GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA) degree. Diego also obtained a Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications from Lynda.com since 2018, including Windows Server 2016: Deploying Containers, Cert Prep: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Cybersecurity Awareness: Breaking Down Cloud Security, and DevOps Foundations: DevSecOps.
