David Barker

David Barker, MBA, is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in virtualization and systems engineering. Currently serving as Lead Virtualization Engineer at Solera, Inc. since July 2016, David oversees the uptime of multiple data centers while managing a virtual server infrastructure of over 5,000 VMs. Prior roles include Senior Systems Engineer at BBSI, where responsibilities encompassed maintaining a VMware environment and mentoring staff, and Systems Engineer at UTC Fire & Security, contributing to network setup and support for virtual environments. David also held positions as Systems Administrator at both West Coast Technical and EthicsPoint, Inc., where key achievements included upgrading firewall systems and developing business recovery plans. David holds an MBA from Marylhurst University and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from DeVry University.
