Mark Baum is the Technical Project Lead at Soliant Consulting. Mark has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in database development and management. Mark began their career as a Database Developer at CAS Systems in 1998. Mark then became the IT Development Manager at UCSF in 2003. In 2011, they joined FileMaker Inc., an Apple subsidiary, as a Technical Marketing Evangelist. In this role, they were responsible for administering the online developer community in Jive, creating demos and tutorials, organizing developer conference events and sessions, presenting talks, and working cross-functionally to improve the out-of-product user experience and promote customer success. Mark has presented at the FileMaker Developer Conference on a variety of topics, including the FileMaker Developer Challenge, exploring Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, and introducing the ExecuteSQL Function. Mark is skilled in technical writing, demos, training, public speaking, group leadership, and data integration using Jive APIs.
Mark Baum has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Theater from UC Santa Barbara. Mark also has a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from UC Santa Barbara. In addition, they have a certification from FileMaker Inc., an Apple subsidiary, in Developer Essentials for FileMaker 14. Mark also has a certification from FileMaker Inc., an Apple subsidiary, in Developer Essentials for FileMaker 13. Furthermore, they have a certification from FileMaker Inc., an Apple subsidiary, in Developer Essentials for FileMaker 12. Finally, they have a certification from Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional.
