Suncheol Gweon

Suncheol Gweon has a diverse work experience. Suncheol is currently working as the Executive Vice President at SOLiD since July 2020. In addition, they are an Adjunct Professor at Soongsil University since September 2014.

Previously, Suncheol Gweon was the Vice Director of Research at Yonsei Institute of Convergence Technology from July 2018 to July 2020. Suncheol served as the President of Giga Korea Foundation, where they focused on 5G implementation, from November 2015 to June 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive Consultant at KT from March 2014 to October 2015.

Suncheol Gweon also holds experience as an Adjunct Professor at Korea University from September 2014 to August 2015. Suncheol has an extensive history with KT, where they held various roles including EVP, SVP, and VP from 1997 to 2014.

Suncheol Gweon has a strong educational background with degrees in both Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Suncheol obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electronics Engineering from Korea University in 1983. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, which they completed in 1985. Suncheol further expanded their expertise in the field by earning a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1990. Additionally, they briefly explored other areas of study, such as Law at Seoul National University in 2005 and Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2010.
