In a mass consumer dominated world of assembly line furniture, Solid Bench, is a boutique carpentry studio with a different approach. Inspired by Japanese tradition and the American crafts movement, our furniture is a celebration of the anisotropy of natural wood. The designs emerge out of the form defined by each individual tree we select.

Our work is a labor of love, incorporating traditional joinery techniques, natural oil finishes, and minimalist aesthetics that honor the wood's inherent qualities. We embrace the knots, grain variations, and organic textures, showcasing the wood's natural allure with every piece we create.

Driven by a deep passion for native timber and a commitment to sustainable craftsmanship, we prioritize ethical sourcing and toxin-free materials. Crafted without nails or screws and seasoned in-house, each creation embodies our dedication to artisanal integrity and enduring quality.

At Solid Bench, we're not just making furniture—we're giving trees new life and form. Join us in redefining furniture with timeless elegance and a sustainable ethos. Let's celebrate nature's beauty together.

For us - Furniture is an Outcome. The tree defines form.
