Joe Hertzberg

Joe Hertzberg is a retired principal at Solid Ground Consulting, with over 30 years of experience as a consultant in Oregon. They focus on strategic thinking, authentic engagement, and consensus-building, primarily serving public and nonprofit organizations. Previously, Joe was a faculty member at Yale University and held leadership roles in various firms, including vice president at O'Neill & Company and principal at Decisions Decisions. Joe also contributed to Portland's community by serving on the Charter Review Commission and as interim director of the Bureau of Housing & Community Development. Additionally, they have been actively involved in nonprofit organizations, including serving as board chair of Friends of the Children and as a board member of the August Wilson Red Door Project and The Lowenstein Trust.
