Alexandra Bothwell

Alexandra Bothwell is an established Analytical Scientist at Solid Power, Inc. since January 2023, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where expertise in laser spectroscopy characterization of thin-film photovoltaics was developed. Bothwell earned a PhD in Thin Film Photovoltaics and an MS in Physics from Colorado State University, and a BA in Physics from Hamilton College. Research contributions include time-resolved photoluminescence measurements, optimization of materials for CdTe solar cells, and extensive experience in teaching and tutoring physics at various educational levels. Prior roles also include Graduate Research Assistant at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and positions as an Undergraduate Research and Teaching Assistant, showcasing strong analytical and pedagogical skills throughout a substantial academic and professional career in photovoltaics and laser spectroscopy.
